During the 33rd ordinary session, presided over by Vice Mayor Magdalena Reta de Urquiza, the legislative body unanimously supported the initiative that recognizes local producers certified under global sustainability standards. In addition, municipal workers were greeted on the eve of Municipal Employee Day, and a package of resolution projects of social, cultural, sports, and educational value was approved.
The day began with the formal flag-raising ceremony, for which students Gonzalo Miño, Alfonsina Russo, and Noah Pinto were specially invited, representing the Almafuerte School.
Historical recognition for the regional citrus sector
Magdalena Reta de Urquiza, highlighted that the processing and unanimous approval of the Draft Ordinance that establishes municipal recognition for citrus producers certified under the international Farm Sustainability Assessment (FSA) standard was consolidated as the most relevant political and economic event within the agenda.
The regulation sets an institutional precedent for regional citriculture, a strategic activity that constitutes one of the main engines for job creation, economic development, and rural roots in the area. The initiative arises from a productive adaptation process initiated in June 2024 through the articulation of the Coca-Cola company together with the firm Litoral Citrus. As a result of this work, eight establishments in the region managed to certify under the FSA standard, a global norm that verifies and promotes sustainable practices in environmental, social, and economic aspects.
The enacted ordinance contemplates formal distinction for producers whose establishments are located within the urban area of Concordia. Likewise, the text formally invites neighboring municipalities of the citrus region, such as Federación and La Criolla, to join this initiative, allowing for the inclusion of all producers in the department and surrounding areas that achieved the same certification. The formal delivery of the institutional distinctions will take place in coincidence with the arrival of the international certifying authorities to the city.
The legislative body supported the measure in tune with the sustainability and competitiveness requirements of international markets, while framing the promotion of these responsible practices within the principles of Article 41 of the National Constitution and Article 83 of the Constitution of Entre Ríos.
Projects approved unanimously promoted by the Más para Entre Ríos bloc

Born in 2012 by the impulse of Primary School No. 65 together with neighborhood entities, the celebration reaches a key milestone this year by being the first edition organized by the recently formed Civil Association "Villa Adela es Tradición", an entity that already has provincial legal status. The planned activities will begin at 5:30 PM with an institutional parade and gaucho groups from the Parroquia Nuestra Señora del Carmen towards the venue located on the frontage road, and will include the performance of the Regimiento 6 Blandengues Band, music and dance shows, the election of the 'donosa', an artisan fair, and a food court for the benefit of local institutions. The project justifies the well-deserved tribute that will be paid to the trajectory and memory of the former associate Dr. María Josefina Pace, in recognition of her commitment and valuable contribution to the legal and social community of the city. At the same time, the initiative recognizes the importance of the reflection space after the screening of the film "Belén", which will be moderated by Dr. Noelí Ballhorst and coordinated by Dr. Federico Noe, addressing key topics such as due process guarantees, respect for fundamental rights, and the strengthening of democratic institutions.
