In a session marked by a strong social and educational focus, the Concejo Deliberante de Concordia held this Thursday its 9th ordinary session. The meeting, presided over by the 1st Vice President, Dr. Felipe Sastre, was attended by 11 council members and was highlighted by the approval of regulations that seek to provide economic relief to residents and improve the city's tourism infrastructure.
Among the highlights of the day is the enactment of three key regulations that directly impact the resident's economy, tourism infrastructure, and urban connectivity.
Fiscal relief: Up to 100% discount on interest for those who regularize their municipal taxes
One of the central points was the approval of the Ordinance for the Partial Reduction of Compensatory Interest. This measure, promoted by the Executive branch through the Revenue Directorate, seeks to facilitate the regularization of debts in the General Real Estate Municipal Tax (TGI), Sanitary Services and fines from the Municipal Court of Appeals.
Council member Verónica Del Boca (JxER) detailed the benefits of the new regulation:
New management for the Costanera Eduardo Nebel
The legislative body also approved the modification of Ordinance No. 36.423/2018, which redefines the scope of action of the Costanera Management Entity. From now on, the entity will have jurisdiction over two distinct zones:
Zone 1: Costanera de Concordia (traditional).- Zone 2: Costanera Eduardo Nebel.
Council member Mauricio Rey (JxER) explained that, because the work on the Costanera Nebel shows progress of 70% and already has a partial provisional delivery, it is essential that the Entity begins immediately with cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure the enjoyment of residents and tourists.
Air connectivity and public transport
In response to the modernization of the Comodoro Pierrestegui Airport, the change of route for Line 7 (Termas Branch)was sanctioned. The unit will now formally enter the airport terminal, optimizing passenger transport and better linking the airport with the urban transport system.
Education and Commitment: The "Eco Challenge" in the chamber
The session had a special visit: students and teachers from the Escuela de Educación Técnica N°1 "Brig. Gral. Pascual Echagüe". The students, who participated in the 2025 Eco Challenge with a vehicle built from scratch, shared their plans for the 2026 edition, where they are planning technical improvements and the creation of a new car in tribute to the ARA San Juan. In this context, they invite everyone this Thursday at 8:00 PM to the presentation where they will hold an exhibition of the vehicles at their headquarters on Entre Ríos and Avellaneda streets, open to the entire community.
Recognitions and Tributes
At the proposal of councilwoman Silvina Ovelar (JxER), the work of the group "Conciencia Animal"was declared of Municipal Interest, highlighting their fight against animal-drawn vehicles and animal abuse, with special mentions for Horacio Froy and Mirta Teresa Garay.
Councilman Pablo Bovino commemorated May 1st, International Workers' Day, extending a special greeting to municipal employees.
Dr. Felipe Sastre recalled the anniversary of the Pronunciamiento de Urquiza (May 1st, 1851), a fundamental piece for the National Organization and the end of the hegemony of Rosas. Within the commemorative framework, he highlighted that on May 1st, 1853, Congress sanctioned the National Constitution. In it, the form of government that governs to this day was established: Representative, Republican and Federal.
