This morning, Mayor Francisco Azcué participated in the 25th-anniversary celebrations of the Santa Rita Ivotí Porá Child Development Center (CDI), an occasion in which he reaffirmed the administration's commitment to continue working toward the goal of having more and more children attend these spaces for stimulation, support, and education.
Accompanied by the Undersecretary of Social Development Roberto Niez, the Director of Childhood, Adolescence, and Family Adriana Medina, the CDI staff, students, and residents, Azcué stated that “our most important commitment is to the children. They are a priority for us because they are the future of the city.”
“Since we took office in this administration, we established human development as one of our pillars, and we believe that the State must be present to provide those tools to our residents, starting with the children,” and fundamentally in the first stage of growth, which is why “we committed ourselves to creating these spaces so that children from Concordia, during their first three years, have a place for stimulation, education, and support that allows them to have a foundation to continue developing later on.”
In the same vein, Medina expressed her views, highlighting and thanking the work carried out in the Child Development Centers, as each one is part of a training process that includes many factors, and that is where the contribution and joint work with families acquire greater relevance.
For her part, the coordinator of “Santa Rita Ivotí Porá,” Susana Pereira, after recalling the first steps of the place, maintained that “each year shows us that there is always a new beginning, new little faces full of fear, but also of curiosity, who little by little begin to trust and recognize each other; that is why we have learned that it is together, that only as a team are goals achieved.”
