With a wide reach at a national and international level through social media, the Concordia Carnival is consolidated as a great attraction for tourism. “Mayor Alfredo Francolini defined a very clear task so that the great attraction that the Comparsas perform every weekend has significance beyond the city, and we are working in that direction,” noted the organization.
This is a special edition of the Concordia Carnival. Not only because we are coming from a year of impasse due to the pandemic, but because the Secretariat of Tourism, Emcontur, and the Carnival Entity defined communication actions to boost the festival as a convening axis for tourism in the summer.
“It was decided together with Mayor Francolini, the Secretary of Tourism Aldo Álvares, and the director of the Carnival Entity Miguel Guitar. The Concordia Carnival is a unique festival; no other city in the country has this festival. And it is carried out by residents of Concordia. It should be a source of pride for all residents of Concordia. And working on the promotion together with the Tourism marketing team allows us to grow much more,” maintained Candelaria Cracco, Press Coordinator of the Concordia Carnival.
Cracco did not hesitate to highlight the work of local media. “The dissemination work carried out every Saturday and throughout the week by the different media of Concordia, whether graphic, radio, television, or digital, is very important. We are working every day so that everyone can do their job better. The contributions and suggestions that each one makes to us are taken very much into account,” the communicator pointed out in this regard.
“The communication and dissemination work carried out by the media of Concordia is the basis for the promotion we are carrying out at a national level,” she added. “Concordia has a strong carnival tradition, and many of these communicators, whether cameramen, photographers, journalists, or hosts, have been part of this growth that the main summer festival of Concordia has had,” she assured.
In this sense, she commented that “just this past weekend, we had a live broadcast on Canal 11 from Paraná, Canal 9 from Paraná was there, the Carnival was on the cover of El Mirador from Santa Fé, it was broadcast live on T5 from Corrientes, there were media from Córdoba and Rosario, and influencers also visited us; in the days prior, it was televised on TV Pública, and on Sunday there was a special on Chicas Guapas, the program on América TV. More and more media from all over the country are interested in the Concordia Carnival.”
For Cracco, the drawing card is clear: “it is the members of each and every one of the comparsas. The love and passion with which they parade every night on the Corsódromo track is unique. They are the protagonists and the ones who make those who come to Concordia recommend our Carnival.”
“Only on the official social media of the Municipality, Tourism, or the Carnival, each parade is watched by more than 5,000 people. If we add to that the number of people who watch the broadcasts carried out by other local media and also those from other cities in the country, and the large number of people who attend every Saturday... We can say that each parade of the Concordia Carnival is enjoyed by more than 30,000 people.”
Finally, Cracco announced that “in the coming days, the Carnival Entity will announce something very important for the international projection of our Carnival. We are working hard with Aldo Álvarez's entire team and the Secretariat of Tourism so that the Concordia Carnival transcends the country's borders. This week, perhaps before Saturday, we will be able to announce it.”
