With the raffle of two 0 km motorcycles and the passionate support that characterizes Concordia, this Sunday the fifth night of our city's Carnival was held at the “Atanasio Bonfiglio” Corsódromo.
Mayor Enrique Cresto thanked the people who are part of this celebration, whether on the track or in the stands, anticipating a coming weekend with a grand finale full of rhythm. During this Sunday's parade, a special recognition was also given to the players and directors of Club Estudiantes for their outstanding performance in the National Basketball League. Regarding the raffle of the 0 km motorcycles, on this occasion, luck favored the members of the Emperatriz troupe in both cases.
The Mayor highlighted the work of everyone who made an effort to ensure the venue was in good condition after days of intense rain, “which are issues we cannot control, but today -referring to Sunday- we are experiencing a true celebration, with many people, so we are preparing for a closing full of festivities during the coming weekend”.
“Each of the troupes has shown great commitment and that must be recognized because they have been working in coordination with the Carnival Entity, being part of every decision that has been made,” said Cresto.
Support
Matías Soto, president of the Carnival Entity, remarked that although the weather was not as desired during the weekend, which caused the troupes' parade to be held on Sunday, “the truth is that the people of Concordia and those visiting us have supported us, and we see a very good turnout in the stands,” he said gratefully. For their part, the troupes highlighted the boost that Mayor Cresto has given to the festival, which has become a regional reference.
Regarding the continuity of the parades, Soto pointed out that “we have two nights left of the battle of passions that will take place on Saturday, February 25, and Monday, February 27, which arrive along with the carnival holiday, so we have very good expectations that the closing will be a full celebration, with the Corsódromo full of the people who always support us,” as advance ticket sales for those dates are progressing at a good pace.
Finally, and after reiterating his gratitude for the support these carnivals are receiving and the committed work of each troupe, Soto stated that we are experiencing “a celebration that we haven't seen in a long time, and this compels us to continue working to improve whatever is necessary to keep growing.”
