Within the framework of the tourism promotion policies driven by the administration of mayor Enrique Cresto, the Concordia Carnival and all the attractions our city offers were promoted in Buenos Aires, with a presence in prominent national media such as Televisión Pública Argentina and C5N. The Casa de Entre Ríos was another of the spaces where all the warmth, rhythm, and passion of one of the most important events in the region were showcased.
Miguel Guitar, Undersecretary of Tourism and Vice President of Emcontur, pointed out to the national audience that “this is a promotional effort that mayor Cresto has driven, especially regarding the Carnival, which begins on Saturday, January 20, and will extend for five more nights. It is a celebration with a great sense of identity and passion,” the official remarked.
Valentina Alanís, Queen of the Concordia Carnival, highlighted the commitment of all the comparsas that “work all year round to arrive at the first parade with their best and offer a very good show, a unique one, that only Concordia has.”
Guitar also mentioned the Los Pequeños Duendes Carnival, “an event that brings together all families from all neighborhoods and has become the breeding ground for our main carnival,” which is why “the people of our city experience it in a different way than what might happen in other parts of the country.”
A sample of this “is what also happens with the Popular Carnival, where on the holiday everyone goes out into the streets, with costumes and masks to experience a celebration. Concordia has three carnivals that go hand in hand, which makes us live the months of January and February in pure celebration”.
