The mayor Enrique Cresto received the executives of the Concordia company Agroberries S.A., which was distinguished with the first prize in Technological Innovation at the 28th Edition of the BBVA Francés Agricultural Entrepreneur Award 2017, for its work "Blueberries with Added Value", in which organic production is prioritized.
Together with the Cabinet Coordinator María de los Ángeles Petit, the coordinator of the Municipal Production Council, Marcos Follonier, and the head of the Strategic Projects Unit, Sebastián Loggio, the mayor congratulated the Concordia company that received this award chosen by a jury made up of universities and representatives of the agricultural sector.
"Beyond the fact that the company received the award, it is a recognition of the city and the activity, of the blueberries of Concordia. Which is the second region in the country in terms of surface area but the first in terms of production of all the zones in Argentina", expressed Gonzalo Carlazara, Production Manager of the company.
The meeting also served to take stock of the work that the Production Council, and together the State and Producers, have carried out in 2017.
"It is very interesting some things that the Mayor conveyed to us, such as the project linked to the issue of the cost of electrical energy, which is a topic that worries the entire industry. And we also talked about tax deferral, which is a topic that he told us he was going to study", commented after the meeting the President of Agroberries S.A., Juan Ramón Paredes. The businessman highlighted the possibility of "having these meetings with the Mayor" because "proposals arise to continue working together".
