The Municipality of Concordia, through the Department of Senior Citizen Policies, continues to carry out a varied agenda of activities aimed at older adults, with the goal of promoting comprehensive well-being, recreation, learning, and community participation.
The proposals are developed weekly in different Retiree and Pensioner Centers, community halls, and neighborhood spaces in the city, bringing opportunities for meeting and personal development to residents of different sectors of Concordia.
The head of the Department of Senior Citizen Policies, Gladys Portugal, highlighted the importance of these initiatives to strengthen the quality of life of older adults.
“These activities allow our older adults to stay active, share experiences, and build bonds that are fundamental for a full life. Each workshop represents an opportunity to learn, participate, and feel part of a community.”
Likewise, she pointed out that the wide territorial distribution of the proposals facilitates access for residents of different neighborhoods.
“We work to bring these activities to every sector of the city, generating meeting spaces that promote the well-being, integration, and active participation of our older adults.”
