The seventh round of the 2026 TCR South America championship was held this weekend at the Parque Autódromo Ciudad de Concordia, marking the historic debut of the continental category in the city.
This Sunday, Brazilian driver Raphael Reis, at the wheel of the W2 Pro GP Cupra, won the second race of the day.
Leonel Pernía, driving a Honda, finished second. The podium was completed by Nelson Piquet Jr.
Mayor Francisco Azcué highlighted the category's visit to the city "as it allows us to continue positioning ourselves in major sports calendars. The TCR not only brought a national audience but also visitors from Brazil, Uruguay, among others, which enabled us to showcase Concordia internationally. It has been a very positive weekend".
Earlier, Tiago Pernía won the first TCR race, followed by Leonel Pernía and Raphael Reis in third.
The next TCR South America event will be from October 2nd to 4th in Posadas.
