With a high degree of emotion, the presentation of the San Antonio de Padua Awards took place this Monday night, in recognition of the outstanding athletes of the year in the different disciplines.
Before a packed Convention Center, Mayor Francisco Azcué congratulated each of the athletes, coaches, and family members who gave their best in 2024, achieving results that placed Concordia at the highest level.
“You represent the values that our society needs, such as effort, sacrifice, self-respect, the desire to improve, merit, and teamwork. I hope this recognition serves as further encouragement in the pursuit of your goals and your dreams as athletes,” stated Azcué.
In the same vein were the words of the Undersecretary of Sports Ivana Pérez, who thanked the Organizing Committee, the city's sports journalists, and everyone who made the presentation of the San Antonio de Padua possible.
Present were municipal cabinet officials, council members, representatives of sports institutions from the city, and the general public.
