This Friday, a new Digital Point was inaugurated in Concordia, located at Puerto TEC, which integrates into the network of spaces already existing in the city, favoring access to technology, promoting the reduction of the digital divide, and facilitating the community's approach to innovative tools.
This place is intended for the development of training proposals, courses, and workshops oriented towards job training, as well as learning and entertainment activities through digital classrooms, a micro-cinema, and video game consoles.
The activity, framed within the Infrastructure and Development Plan towards the Bicentennial carried out by the Municipality, was attended by the mayor Francisco Azcué; the National Secretary of Innovation, Science and Technology, Darío Genua; and the Secretary of Modernization, Science, Technology and Innovation of Entre Ríos, Emmanuel Gainza.
CONDITIONS AND OPPORTUNITIES
“We want our country, the province, and this city to be thriving again, where there are opportunities for everyone, and for that, conditions must be generated by the State so that the private sector decides to invest, develop, and create genuine employment,” pointed out the mayor Azcué, who recalled the current regulatory framework that promotes investment, development, and the establishment of technology companies, with the objective of advancing in the transformation of the productive matrix, betting on the growth of the knowledge economy.
For this to be efficient, “we must do it together. It will take time, but if we consolidate this path of growth, investment, and serious and efficient administration, things will improve and the conditions will be created for this to happen and for us to reach the dream that we all pursue and that we believe we can achieve,” remarked Azcué.
The National Secretary of Innovation, Science and Technology, Darío Genua, remarked that “an Argentine is not built from a national government, from a provincial government, nor is it built from a municipal government; it is built among everyone, and federal articulation is one of the most important things.”
He subsequently added that “from the national government, we are returning to rescue that federal spirit, and not only thinking that it is about sending resources or covering a budgetary gap, but being able to understand the needs and being in each place to experience it firsthand. That is only achieved by sharing, working, and being on the ground,” stressed Genua.
COMMON VISION
For his part, Emmanuel Gainza highlighted that “when one sees the result of that joint work, one can touch it, one can materialize it, and it has a lot to do with sharing a common vision between the national government, the provincial government, and the Municipality to generate opportunities linked to technology.”
In that line, Gainza highlighted the importance of the knowledge industry based on a political decision “of the three levels of government. Promoting and enhancing this activity is central, in the search to lower the tax burden, simplify procedures, and ensure that whoever wants to undertake finds a State that helps them and does not put obstacles in their way,” he concluded.
Finally, the Director of Innovation and Knowledge Economy, Pedro Kohn, maintained: “These spaces represent a bet on the future of Concordia, reconverting emblematic places into environments linked to the knowledge economy and talent training. The challenge now is to fill them with content and opportunities to boost development and prepare the city for what is to come,” he trusted.
DIGITAL POINT
The new Digital Point, located in Warehouse No. 1 of the Costanera and which joins the one at the Casa del Bicentenario in the Víctor Oppel neighborhood and the one at the NIDO in Carretera La Cruz, was possible thanks to the coordinated work between the National Government, the Government of the Province of Entre Ríos, and the Municipality of Concordia.
The space was equipped with notebooks, furniture, LED televisions, a projector with a screen for a micro-cinema, a sound system, microphones, and game consoles, among other resources, guaranteeing an adequate environment for access to knowledge and the digital inclusion of the residents of Concordia.
Participating were the Secretary of Cabinet Coordination and Treasury, Pablo Ferreyra; officials from the Directorates of Electrotechnics and Communications; of Informatics; and council members.
