The Municipality of Concordia was distinguished by the Local Innovation Network (RIL) with the Local Finance Efficiency Seal, a recognition granted to Argentine cities that demonstrate leadership, solid management, and innovative solutions in strategic areas of government.
The mayor Francisco Azcué, together with the Secretary of Cabinet Coordination and Treasury Pablo Ferreyra and the Director of Revenue Fernando Marsicano, received the seal that positions Concordia as a model city in terms of modernization, tax simplification, digitalization of processes, and strengthening of municipal fiscal management.0
To access this distinction, the Municipality went through a demanding evaluation process that included a self-diagnosis stage, presentation of evidence, compliance with minimum criteria, and validation of supporting documentation. In addition, the city had to achieve a score equal to or greater than 70% in the comprehensive evaluation carried out by RIL.
Among the outstanding policies that allowed achieving this recognition are obtaining a fiscal surplus in the execution of the budget, tax simplification through the elimination of municipal taxes, the implementation of payment agreements with companies to facilitate electronic payments, the use of the GESCOM digital purchasing system, the strengthening of the Citizen Portal for the consultation and payment of municipal taxes, and the signing of collaboration agreements with organizations such as ARCA and ATER.
From the municipal administration, they highlighted that this recognition reflects the sustained work to build a more modern, efficient State that is closer to the resident.
“The RIL Seal encourages us to continue deepening a management based on innovation, transparency, and efficiency. Each tool implemented aims to make life easier for the taxpayer, simplify procedures, and strengthen municipal resources to provide better services,” pointed out the Secretary of Cabinet Coordination and Treasury, Pablo Ferreyra.
The recognition also highlights the commitment of the technical and administrative teams that participated in the process, providing information, documentation, and evidence of the policies implemented.
With this achievement, Concordia continues to consolidate a management model oriented towards results, with more technology, greater institutional articulation, and a tax administration that is simpler, more modern, and accessible to the citizenry.
