The Municipality of Concordia invites the community to participate in the central ceremony and activities organized within the framework of the 215th anniversary of the May Revolution on May 24th and 25th, with a cultural and patriotic proposal to celebrate history and reaffirm national identity.
SATURDAY, MAY 24TH
The "Identity in Freedom" Gala of Honor will take place starting at 9:30 PM at the Odeón Theater.
A show with the outstanding participation of: "Alas y Estilo" Ballet; "Sembrando Futuro" Folklore Ballet; "Ecos del Supremo"; Municipal Folklore Ballet "Renovando Sueños"; Trío Azul: Luis Bordoy, Pablo Kauffmann, and Marcelo Salvador; "Alas de Mi Patria" Folklore Ballet; and the Music Band of the 6th Tank Cavalry Regiment "Blandengues".
SUNDAY, MAY 25TH
The Central Ceremony for the 215th anniversary of the May Revolution will be on Sunday, starting at 8:45 AM at Plaza 25 de Mayo.
09:00 AM: Solemn Te Deum at the San Antonio de Padua Cathedral.
Finally, from 3:00 PM, the celebration will move to the southern area of the city, where the Patriotic Festival of the Gruta de Lourdes neighborhood (Alvear and Giuliani) will take place. From the afternoon on, residents will be able to enjoy the performance of different folk ballets, the act of Ramón Maydana, and the Music Band of the 6th Tank Regiment "Blandengues". There will be patriotic hot chocolate to share, and those who wish may attend dressed in period clothing. This activity, in particular, is being organized together with various areas of the municipality, following a comprehensive approach that seeks to carry out the day together with neighborhood leaders and residents of the area.
