This morning, Mayor Francisco Azcué inaugurated the "Puerto TEC" Technology Hub, a training center for business owners and entrepreneurs in the technology ecosystem who wish to settle in Concordia and hire local talent.
The realization of this space took place within the framework of public policies carried out by the Municipality in conjunction with the Provincial Government and the National Government, with the objective of advancing the transformation of the productive matrix, committing to the development and growth of the knowledge economy.
"Puerto TEC" operates in warehouse No. 1, a place with historical significance for the city and the region, considering that part of the production was concentrated at that site. In his remarks, Mayor Azcué reflected on this point by noting that "where goods or merchandise were once exported, today we intend for knowledge to be exported."
In this sense, Azcué recalled Concordia's adherence to the Provincial Knowledge Economy Law and the creation of a regulatory framework that promotes investment, development, and the establishment of technology companies in the city, with significant incentives that include exemptions from municipal taxes.
"We are laying the foundations for development after having organized the municipality's accounts. We want everyone to take ownership of this place, to make it their own, and we thank the companies in the private sector that bet, take risks, and invest, because they are the true generators of genuine employment," stated Azcué.
ACTIONS
For his part, the Director of Innovation and Knowledge Economy, Pedro Kohn, highlighted that "these strategies are not isolated but are part of a series of actions that have been carried out. If we look at other cities that are more advanced, they have a base and infrastructure that allowed them to grow. Today we are doing it in Concordia."
"We invite entrepreneurs, companies, and citizens in general to come. This place was created from the public sphere but is designed and thought out so that you can create, because we want the next venture to be born from here," highlighted Kohn.
Finally, the Secretary of Productive and Entrepreneurial Development of Entre Ríos, Paula Vicari, maintained that it is very important for the province to continue adding spaces for technology companies to empower themselves, within the framework of the "Entre Ríos Impulsa" Program, from which a significant contribution was made for the completion of "Puerto TEC".
Present were the Secretary of Cabinet Coordination and Treasury Pablo Ferreyra; the Director of Knowledge Economy of the Government of Entre Ríos Matías Ruíz; the Undersecretary of Culture and Education Carlos Gatto; the president of the Costanera Entity María Perini; representatives of the Naval Prefecture; of academic and intermediary institutions, and of the community in general.
