Within the framework of the Concordia 2025–2030 Sustainable Tourism Strategic Plan, the Undersecretariat of Tourism and the Concordia Mixed Tourism Board (EMCONTUR) are working in the field to survey attractions and services, identify opportunities for improvement, and advance toward a more accessible and inclusive tourist experience
The Undersecretary of Tourism and Executive President of the Concordia Mixed Tourism Board (EMCONTUR), Belén Schauvinhold, together with Juan Pablo Regalado, a consultant specializing in accessibility, carried out a field work day to evaluate the accessibility conditions of various spaces and attractions in the city.
This action incorporated a first-person, user-centered perspective, which allowed for the observation of accessibility aspects that might not emerge from an exclusively technical evaluation. During the tour, they analyzed the conditions of access, circulation, and use of the spaces, with the objective of identifying potential barriers and defining concrete improvements that allow for a tourist experience with greater autonomy.
This work is part of the city's tourism planning process and is linked to the guidelines of the Concordia 2025–2030 Sustainable Tourism Strategic Plan, which includes accessibility, mobility, and transport among its axes of work.
The Undersecretariat of Tourism and EMCONTUR will continue to survey spaces and generate proposals to advance toward a Concordia that is much better prepared to welcome all people.
