Following its incorporation into the Municipal Registry of Knowledge Economy Companies (REC), the company Defymotion will access significant tax benefits granted by the Municipality of Concordia within the framework of public policies promoted to strengthen the local innovation and technological development ecosystem.
The company will obtain an exemption from the Commercial and General Real Estate municipal taxes for 5 years, with the possibility of extending it for another 5 years; access to municipal innovation spaces; priority in programs, calls for proposals, and tenders; and participation in the Knowledge Economy Advisory Council.
This morning, Mayor Francisco Azcué visited the site, where he toured the firm's facilities, an opportunity in which the growth of the technology sector in the city and the support provided by the Municipal State were highlighted.
Azcué highlighted that “this is a company that is growing day by day and today it enters the Municipal Regime, so it will access important tax benefits and other actions that have been promoted by the administration. It is a source of pride for Concordia because they are betting on the city and this is what we need: for people to invest in the city, generate genuine employment, and for our part, to provide the conditions for this to happen.”
Sebastian Coulleri, CEO of Defymotion, expressed his satisfaction “for having achieved recognition for our technology company. We have been dedicated to this for many years, so we thank the Municipality,” maintaining that “among the objectives we have set for ourselves is to continue developing in Concordia and to promote a vision of growth in other countries.”
Diego Fernández, technical manager, stressed that this signing and incorporation “is a very great recognition that encourages us to be able to grow as a technology company, which is what reality demands today. We are happy that from our position we can reach different parts of Argentina and the world.”
Defymotion was born as a company specialized in the manufacturing of robotics and industrial automation equipment with the aim of providing customized solutions to SMEs in the region, developing customized solutions that adapt to the specific needs of companies, increasing productivity and reducing operating costs.
The Municipal Registry of Knowledge Economy Companies (REC), created through Ordinance No. 38.529/24, is part of a public policy aimed at strengthening the local innovation ecosystem where the Knowledge Economy Advisory Council has an active role in the construction of this tool, articulating the public, private, and academic sectors.
Accompanying him were the Secretary of Cabinet Coordination and Treasury Pablo Ferreyra; the Director of Revenue Fernando Marsicano; and the Coordinator of the Knowledge Economy Advisory Council Ivonne Saleh.
