Within the framework of Stage II of the Infrastructure and Development Plan towards the Bicentennial (PID), the Municipality of Concordia is executing, with its own resources, comprehensive paving, storm drainage, and water and sewer network renovation works on key arteries in the northeast area.
This week, paving works were carried out on 6 de Caballería street, between San Lorenzo boulevard and Chabrillón street, which included the reconstruction of curbs in poor condition; and the construction of new curbs and gutters in sectors that lacked this infrastructure.
The mayor Francisco Azcué was at the site, speaking with residents: “they are the ones who set the priorities for us, which is why we come to talk; we inform them about what we are doing and also what we are planning. This Infrastructure Plan will not only be sustained but will also continue to grow and reach different neighborhoods.”
“Having stability and administrative order allows us to plan. We are aware that there are many neighborhoods that need infrastructure and better services to have a better quality of life, and that is what we are working on,” highlighted Azcué.
For his part, the Secretary of Public Works Fernando Esquibel explained that the work on 6 de Caballería progressed within the expected timeframes, “which allows us to continue in other sectors included in this stage, such as San Juan street, between M. Arruabarrena street and Etchevehere street, or Belgrano street, between San Lorenzo and Salto Uruguayo.”
The second stage of the PID also includes Hipólito Yrigoyen street between Etchevehere street and O´Connor street; and O´Connor street between Hipólito Yrigoyen street and Eva Perón Avenue. The objective is to consolidate a key circulation ring in the northeast area of the city.
