The Municipality of Concordia is carrying out a comprehensive approach in the San Miguel II neighborhood, in which the Secretariat of Public Services and other areas are participating, with the objective of addressing the various demands of the residents of the area.
During the operation, cleaning tasks, maintenance of green spaces, signage and lighting work, waste collection, removal of branches, and actions for clearing containers and dengue prevention are carried out, in addition to door-to-door environmental education sessions.
Secretary of Public Services Alejandro López pointed out that “what we are looking for is to concentrate efforts and carry out an intervention with a significant presence of different areas of the Municipality in the neighborhood, without affecting the services provided in other sectors of the city.”
In that sense, he highlighted the importance of the participation and collaboration of the community: “Waste is a recurring issue and we need residents to understand how the system works, to collaborate by disposing of trash correctly, without mixing rubble with household or electronic waste.”
“The city we live in is the one we build together. The Municipality fulfills its role, but empathy, respect for collection schedules, and the commitment of each resident are fundamental to having an orderly, clean city, so that we can all live and enjoy the environment in which we move every day,” remarked López.
The intervention includes the participation of the Undersecretariat of Public Services; the Undersecretariat of Environment; Urban Hygiene; Electrotechnics; Waste Collection; Parks and Promenades, and the 105. For this Thursday, it is planned that the Logistics and Technical Area for Storm Drain Cleaning, belonging to the Secretariat of Public Works, will join the work.
