The Decentralized Sanitary Works Agency (EDOS) informs the community that in the last 24 hours, four positive Covid-19 cases were confirmed among the workers of this agency.
These are patients who are currently experiencing the disease without presenting symptoms. At the moment, the four individuals are in home isolation without requiring medical attention in a hospital inpatient setting.
Given this situation, in conjunction with the Health Emergency Operations Committee, we have activated the respective protocols, proceeding with the preventive isolation of the confirmed cases, the determination of their possible epidemiological links, and the performance of swabs on those who could be in a potential condition of greater exposure to contagion.
Of the four aforementioned individuals, three are part of the operational staff of the water treatment plant and one of them performs duties in the administrative offices.
It is important to make it clear that this situation does not represent a risk of contagion for the public that visits the offices of the Entity nor for people outside the operational functioning of the plant; since the protocols and procedures adopted since the beginning of the pandemic were focused on prioritizing and guaranteeing health care and compliance with regulations, both regarding EDOS personnel and the residents who for one reason or another visit our facilities.
Likewise, the operational modality of work teams and rotating shifts allows us to continue with our functions and maintain public service in our offices without the reduction in available personnel affecting the normal functioning of the Entity.
Finally, we extend our support and accompaniment to our workers and their families; taking this opportunity to insist on the importance of compliance with regulations, social awareness, and individual responsibility so that we can all overcome this situation in the best possible way and so that Concordia can move forward.
