This Monday, with the presence of Mayor Francisco Azcué and the Chief of the 6th Tank Cavalry Regiment “Blandengues”, Lieutenant Colonel Jorge Andrés Camerino, the workshops of the Professional Training Program began.
The training proposals include a basic painting workshop, carpentry, tailoring, and sports horse care, trades that allow for the acquisition of practical knowledge and the strengthening of training for the labor market.
Mayor Azcué highlighted the Municipality's link with the Regiment “which allows for providing a professional training space, through workshops, for all ages, which allow for insertion into the labor market where trades are very important and used by the community”.
“There are more and more residents interested in participating, so we are very grateful to the authorities of this institution, which not only teaches or prepares to defend the Homeland but also transmits values and a vocation for service,” stated Azcué.
For his part, Lieutenant Colonel Camarino indicated that the work and teaching modality remains the same as in previous years, where “we make the human capital available to the citizens who come to train. This is a model that is not only successful in Concordia but has also sparked interest in other military units in the country”.
The activity was accompanied by the Undersecretary of Education and Culture Carlos Gatto; the Undersecretary of Social Development Roberto Niez, among other authorities, as well as family members of those enrolled in the workshops, along with the instructors.
The classes are in-person and are held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at the local Regiment's facilities.
