Mayor Alfredo Francolini summoned the coordinator of Popular Festivals Matías Soto to advance in definitions regarding the planning of activities for the summer. Together with Chief of Staff Fernando Barboza, they analyzed the current health situation and the outlook for the possibility of holding events in the city.
"Since the beginning of the pandemic, Concordia has had a very clear plan to protect the health of the entire population. Today, with the progress of the Vaccination Plan having vaccinated more than 80% of those over 18 years of age, we can move forward in planning activities that will progressively allow us to return to normal," noted Chief of Cabinet Fernando Barboza.
For this reason, "Mayor Alfredo Francolini summoned the Municipality's coordinator of Popular Festivals, Matías Soto, to finalize definitions regarding certain events that are very important for the city, one of them being the Carnival," he pointed out.
"The Carnival is the main tourist event of the summer, but it is also an event that has a strong cultural tradition in our city. Today the city and the country are in a different epidemiological condition than last year. That is why the Mayor considers it important to move forward with definitions that allow, always taking into account the Protocols and adapting to the epidemiological situation, to work on the organization of the festival together with the comparsas, with alternatives that we will build together, to continue taking care of ourselves and to keep the passion alive," expressed Barboza.
