This Sunday the official presentation will take place at the Costanera Amphitheater, and next Saturday, January 25, the "Atanasio Bonfiglio" Corsódromo will open its doors for the battle of passions to begin.
With thousands of participants on the avenue of the "Atanasio Bonfiglio" Corsódromo, next Saturday, January 25, will be the opening night of the 2020 edition of the carnival. This Friday, the ballot box was sealed, where at the end of each parade the jury will deposit the score sheets for each comparsa. Each group holds one of the keys that opens the ballot box, thus ensuring the transparency of the entire process.
To start feeling the excitement of what will be a new edition of the festival, this Sunday, January 19, from 8:00 PM, the official launch of the Concordia carnival will take place at the Costanera Amphitheater in Concordia.
The event will feature the participation of the comparsas Emperatriz, Bella Samba, Ráfaga, and Imperio, with each group providing a show where they will present their figures, percussion section, and samba enredo, offering a preview of their performance on the local Corsódromo avenue.
Following the launch of the festival, the sound check for the Comparsas will take place this Monday, January 20, and Tuesday, January 21, at the premises on Gobernador Cresto street, which the public will be able to enjoy with free admission, in what will be a great prelude to the start of the biggest summer festival, given that, as happens year after year, the musicians and percussion sections are accompanied by dancers, resulting in a virtual technical rehearsal.
This Monday, January 20, it will be the turn of Emperatriz at 9:00 PM and Ráfaga at 11:00 PM, while on Tuesday the 15th, Imperio will have its rehearsal at 9:00 PM and Bella Samba at 11:00 PM.
The most passionate Carnival in the country is about to begin and the sale of tickets online, chairs, and VIP tables continues at www.concordiacarnaval.com.
