The Municipality of Concordia, through the Directorate of Bromatology, reminds merchants, food processors, and food handlers of the importance of maintaining proper separation between food products and chemical products within establishments.
It must be taken into account that cleaning products, disinfectants, and chemical substances must not be stored, displayed, or transported together with food, beverages, or raw materials intended for human consumption, in order to avoid risks of chemical contamination and protect the health of the population.
For this reason, it is recommended:
Keep chemical products in separate and correctly identified areas.
Keep food protected and in adequate hygienic conditions.
Do not reuse chemical product containers to store food or beverages.
Respect the safe handling and hygiene standards established by current legislation.
These measures are fundamental to prevent accidental chemical contamination, and thus guarantee proper food safety.
