The Permanent Carnival Entity carried out a final assessment of the 2026 edition, consolidating itself once again as the most passionate event in the country, with results that reflect orderly management, efficient organization, and sustained growth in both attendance and artistic quality.
Throughout the six nights of the parade, the “Atanasio Bonfiglio” Corsódromo was the stage for a true popular celebration that brought together thousands of residents and tourists, strengthening the city's cultural, social, and tourist profile and generating a significant economic impact on local activity.
The high artistic level of the comparsas, the commitment of the work teams, and the constant support of the public, who responded massively each day, were highlighted. Likewise, the implementation of the QR code entry system was valued very positively, a tool that allowed for the organization and streamlining of access, improving the general experience of attendees and marking a significant advance in terms of organization.
In this context, the Director of the Permanent Carnival Entity, Luis Sánchez, stated: “We are closing a historic carnival, with concrete results that show that when there is planning, work, and commitment, the festival grows. We had a public that accompanied us night after night and comparsas that raised the artistic level of this edition.”
Likewise, Sánchez highlighted the joint work that sustained the development of the event: “This growth is the result of joint work with the comparsas, the support of the private sector, and the commitment of the different areas of the Municipality, which allowed the carnival to take place with order, safety, and quality.”
In the final assessment, the permanent support of Mayor Francisco Azcué was also highlighted, who actively backed the development of the 2026 Carnival, strengthening its status as a cultural and tourist policy of the city: “There was a clear decision to support the Carnival and that translated into better organization and a festival that lived up to the public's expectations.”
The 2026 edition was also marked by moments of great symbolic value, such as the commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the Atanasio Bonfiglio Corsódromo, reaffirming the identity, history, and sense of belonging that the carnival generates in the community.
Finally, the Permanent Carnival Entity reported that the awards night for the Concordia Carnival 2026 will be held during the month of March, with the date to be confirmed.
With this closing and final assessment, the Concordia Carnival bids farewell to an edition that left its mark, reaffirming its sustained growth and its projection at a regional and national level, with an eye on continuing to strengthen one of the most important popular festivals in the country.
