Mayor Francisco Azcué participated this Thursday in the launch of the new solar generation system of the Cooperativa Eléctrica de Concordia. This is an important step forward, adding commitment to environmental care, promoting clean, sustainable, and responsible energy sources for future generations.
During the meeting, new initiatives were also announced, such as the incorporation of the TV service, the expansion of the internet service via fiber optics, and projects related to the bottled gas service.
Azcué congratulated the authorities of the Cooperative's Board of Administration on the progress, remarking that “we all agree that these actions are positive and have a great impact on our city because they demonstrate capacity in resource management. Today we are in a difficult context, which is why these types of actions acquire greater value.”
After mentioning what the Infrastructure and Development Plan towards the Bicentennial carried out by the Municipality of Concordia means in terms of investment of own resources, Azcué maintained that “this is achieved by applying innovation, technology, and making decisions that are often difficult, that generate tensions, but we have to do it because we have to think about the whole, about the entire society, and when I see this enormous effort they have made, I also see that vocation to continue growing, to continue providing more and better services to society.”
José Álvarez, president of the Argentine Federation of Cooperatives of Electricity and Other Public Services Ltda. (FACE), highlighted that the actions and investment of the Cooperativa Eléctrica reflect “the effort, the passion in a community that wants to grow, that wants to move forward, and that finds cooperative leaders willing to provide and to be part of a project with better services every day.”
For his part, Marcelo Spinelli, president of the Board of Administration of the Cooperativa Eléctrica de Concordia (CEC), confirmed that the work, carried out by a company from Entre Ríos, was received during this day and that “tests have already been carried out to inject into the grid and it works as programmed. Concordia has these things; we were the most important city in the generation of cheap, renewable energy, such as hydroelectric energy, and now we generate photovoltaic energy.”
The event was attended by municipal officials, provincial legislators, representatives of intermediate entities, and company workers.
