In preparation for the multisectoral event to be held in October, Mayor Francisco Azcué led the signing of mutual collaboration agreements with the National Universities based in our city.
The “Expo Concordia Produce”, organized by the Municipality's Secretariat of Productive Development, is scheduled for October 17 and 18 in what will be the first Multisectoral Productive Exhibition designed for the city and the region, and will feature the participation of different local, provincial, and national organizations and institutions.
Among its main objectives is to boost production and development in Concordia and the region, seeking to favor the competitiveness of the different productive chains as well as to highlight the commercial offer in all its dimensions. The event will focus on three core activities: Exhibition, Business Round, and Conference Cycle.
For this reason, this Wednesday, Mayor Azcué signed mutual collaboration agreements together with accountant Raúl Mangia, Dean of the Faculty of Administration Sciences (UNER); Dr. Luz Marina Zapata, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Food Sciences (UNER); and Engineer José Jorge Penco, Dean of the Concordia Regional Faculty of the UTN.
“It is a source of pride for us to work on this project which, after practically a year of progress, is becoming a reality,” noted Azcué, adding that the importance of this two-day event lies in the fact that “the private sector will be present with all its strength, its potential, the chambers that represent it, the intermediate institutions with which we have been working very well, and academia: For our administration, it is a privilege to be able to count on these Universities and work with them.”
From the administration “we are creating the conditions for a favorable ecosystem so that Concordia can once again be a productive, thriving city, where the private sector decides to invest and develop, where sources of genuine employment are generated again, with quality jobs,” which is why “we are carrying out different public policies, from different areas; some have to do with deregulation, others have to do with lowering the tax burden, but all tending to implement policies that encourage investment and development.”
For his part, the Secretary of Productive Development, Federico Schattenhofer, detailed that the business round “will be organized by the Center of Industry and Commerce, with CAME, and everything related to conferences and research work will be done by the universities.”
For this reason, “we signed this mutual collaboration agreement, which was born somewhat from the call made by the Mayor last year, in the July Pact, seeking to work jointly with all institutions.”
