On Wednesday morning, Mayor Francisco Azcué supervised the various works carried out in the Tavella Norte and Sur neighborhoods by the Secretariat of Public Services, as part of the comprehensive approaches that are being carried out weekly in different sectors of the city.
During the day, a series of cleaning and maintenance works were carried out in green spaces, waste collection, eradication of micro-dumps, branch removal, weeding, lighting, among others.
Mayor Azcué highlighted the importance of deepening these types of actions in the neighborhoods: “we are going to tour the entire city with this modality of a comprehensive approach, without neglecting the daily routine because we continue to provide services throughout the city, but this methodology gives very good results because it is a comprehensive, intense job, with machinery and personnel performing different actions”.
In that sense, he remarked that “the commitment of the residents is important, that they help to keep the neighborhood clean and tidy, fulfilling their duty as citizens, taking out the trash on time and not throwing waste in the street, burning it, or maintaining the fronts of their homes. These are basic issues that we must comply with so that together we can take care of resources and be able to channel them into improving services, in works such as those we are doing with pothole repairs, asphalt, or improvements to water and sewage service networks”.
For his part, the Secretary of Public Services, Alejandro López, stressed that “these actions require the cooperation of all municipal areas and the active participation of the residents, so that these improvements last. The objective is to efficiently articulate the available resources and optimize the provision of public services, keeping the city clean, orderly, and with adequate conditions for the well-being of those who live in these neighborhoods”.
During Thursday, it is planned that the work will continue at the site, with the participation of the Undersecretariat of Public Services; the Undersecretariat of Environment; Urban Hygiene; Electrotechnics; Waste Collection; Parks and Promenades and the 105, among others.
