This Monday, Mayor Francisco Azcué toured the remodeling work of the dining hall and drainage system at Nina School No. 6 “General San Martín,” which was carried out through funds provided by the Administrative Commission for the Salto Grande Special Fund (CAFESG).
The works included resolving functionality issues and building deficiencies, modernizing central areas such as the dining hall, the kitchen, and the staff restroom, which presented problems with sinking floors, leaks, flooded hallways, and deficiencies in electrical installations.
During the visit, Mayor Azcué highlighted the importance of “CAFESG funds being directed toward the development of our region. This is possible because things are being organized and managed responsibly, and that is why I celebrate every time I see that the optimization of resources is being sought, just as we are doing both in the Municipality and in the Province.”
Continuing along those lines, he maintained that these are funds “that reach these works intended for what is most important, which are our children. It does not matter here if it is provincial or municipal jurisdiction; it is something that reaches our neighborhoods and the families of Concordia.”
For his part, the president of CAFESG, Carlos Cecco, highlighted that the work is framed within the directives of Governor Rogelio Frigerio, since “CAFESG funds have been allocated to health and education, in this case to schools and hospitals as a priority. We will be involved in almost 35 works in the departments of Federación, Concordia, Concepción del Uruguay, and Colón.”
Present were the member of the CAFESG Board of Directors Martín Dri; the Undersecretary of Culture and Education of the Municipality of Concordia, Carlos Gatto; and the Departmental Director of Schools, José Luis Ferrari.
