This Friday, and within the framework of a tour of the paving works being carried out on La Pampa street, Mayor Francisco Azcué announced a new stage of the Infrastructure and Development Plan towards the Bicentennial (PID), which will require an investment of nearly 1.9 billion pesos, with the Municipality of Concordia's own resources.
First, Azcué highlighted the progress of the works that are part “of a plan aimed at improving infrastructure and circulation in different sectors of the city. This arises from the demand of the residents with whom we are in permanent dialogue. This organization improves the quality of life in the neighborhoods.”
Likewise, he announced that, while the final stage of the paving of La Pampa street is underway, in the section between Presidente Illia and Lieberman, next week the bids for the public tender for a new stage of the PID will be opened, with an official budget of nearly 1.9 billion pesos.
“We are very satisfied with the work being done. For us, it is a great satisfaction that after two and a half years of organizing the Municipality, optimizing resources and improving administration, it allows us to move forward with this type of work,” emphasized Azcué.
The Secretary of Public Works, Fernando Esquibel, for his part, highlighted the pace of execution of the works and the simultaneous progress of different work fronts in the city: “in this case, on La Pampa street, paving is already underway, but in other sectors, different comprehensive works are also being carried out that will later allow for asphalting.”
NEW STAGE
The new stage of the Infrastructure and Development Plan towards the Bicentennial includes the paving of the following arteries: Laprida street, between Italia and Sara Neira streets; Mario Gatto street, between Laprida and Tavella streets.
In the initial phase, the renovation of basic infrastructure networks will be carried out: replacement of drinking water pipes and the sewage collection network, including household connections. In addition, to ensure the operability of the system, new gate valves and hydrants will be installed. Once these tasks are completed, a soil-cement base will be executed, followed by the final paving.
