In the framework of Journalist's Day, which is celebrated every June 7th, the mayor Francisco Azcué received journalists and members of different media outlets from the city this Monday in the Mayors' Hall of the Municipality of Concordia.
“Today more than ever, the role of journalism and communicators is of enormous importance. We live in times where speed often beats certainty and truth, which is why we deeply value the work of those who practice this noble profession with responsibility and commitment,” he highlighted.
Along those lines, Azcué remarked that for the municipal administration “it is fundamental to maintain transparent communication with the citizenry,” noting that the media “plays a key role so that residents know about and participate in the public policies carried out by the Municipality.”
Finally, the mayor conveyed his recognition to the press workers, highlighting that “the respect and appreciation we have for the role of the journalist and for this noble craft is essential for democratic life and the strengthening of the community.”
