The Municipality of Concordia, through the Decentralized Entity of Sanitary Works (EDOS), is carrying out an Infrastructure Plan for Water Works that aims to execute projects to provide responses to sectors that have historically suffered from shortages, mainly during the summer season.
One of these works is the drilling, recovery of an elevated tank, and valve regulation to improve the distribution of drinking water to the Los Pájaros and Llamarada - Las Viñas neighborhoods, which allows for the injection of 1,850 liters of water per hour into the network, and a semi-closed circuit is being planned to increase supply pressure in that area.
Responsible use of the resource is essential so that families are not affected during days of high consumption. For this reason, Mayor Francisco Azcué, together with EDOS authorities, held a meeting with residents of the aforementioned neighborhoods where he informed them of what is being done and planned, requesting that they use water carefully, without waste, such as, for example, emptying or filling small pools or swimming pools.
Likewise, the situation of those households that use the service through a direct connection to the network was raised, requesting the possibility of having elevated tanks in order to have a water reserve in case of potential supply issues.
Finally, the problem of the sectors that are not currently reached by the distribution network was presented, with a commitment made to work on the evaluation and development of possible solutions for said areas.
The meeting was attended by the EDOS comptroller Javier Del Cerro and William Sosa, EDOS Operations Manager.
