In the framework of his visit to Concordia, Governor Rogelio Frigerio, together with Mayor Francisco Azcué, toured the renovation works already completed in a first stage at the Felipe Heras Hospital, executed with funding from the Administrative Commission for the Special Fund of Salto Grande (Cafesg), which reports to the General Secretariat of the Governor's Office headed by Mauricio Colello.
This stage of the intervention required an investment of over 137 million pesos and allowed for a substantial improvement in the establishment's infrastructure. The completed works are part of a first stage of the hospital's enhancement, aimed at optimizing building conditions and strengthening the quality of healthcare for the community.
The tour was also attended by the president of Cafesg, Carlos Cecco; the Secretary of Health of the Ministry of Health, Daniel Valentinuz; and the director of the Felipe Heras Hospital, Ramón Sansó, among others.
Among the main interventions, the total replacement of the roof covering in the Medical Boards sector and the construction of a new roof on the terrace of the Men's Inpatient area stand out, resolving pre-existing structural problems.
Likewise, a comprehensive renovation of the electrical installation was carried out, with the placement of new lighting, along with the repair of sanitary facilities and improvements to openings, which contributes to providing greater comfort and safety to patients and workers.
Regarding safety, the installation of a fire protection system with regulatory signage and notices was completed, adapting the building to current regulations.
Cafesg reported that the total amount invested in this stage exceeds 137 million pesos, and highlighted that the works allowed for the recovery of strategic areas of the hospital.
They announced that they are planning new stages of intervention to continue with the comprehensive improvement of the Felipe Heras Hospital, consolidating a sustained process of investment in public health in Concordia.
