The Municipality of Concordia, through the Directorate of Electrotechnics and Communications, continues working on the public lighting plan with the objective of improving safety, energy efficiency, and the quality of life of the residents. So far, more than 300 light points located on 145 blocks in different neighborhoods as well as in public spaces have been renewed or expanded.
This morning, Mayor Francisco Azcué, accompanied by the Director of Electrotechnics and Communications Andrés Villalba, supervised the work carried out in the Sarmiento neighborhood.
“We are responding to the demands of the residents with a project that may seem routine but has a great impact on daily life. Public lighting not only improves neighborhood infrastructure but also contributes to safety and well-being,” indicated Azcué.
From the dialogue with the community “planning and responses emerge, defining priorities and allocating municipal resources to works that truly transform the neighborhoods. It is also important that, as residents, we take care of what is being achieved because this results in a benefit for everyone,” maintained the Mayor.
For his part, Villalba explained that the actions in the Sarmiento neighborhood are part of a plan that “has already reached more than 300 light points reviewed and renewed throughout the year, covering more than 145 blocks in different sectors of Concordia. The objective is to strengthen the lighting network in all neighborhoods, completing the blocks that did not yet have adequate coverage and replacing luminaires with more efficient technology. The energy savings we obtain allow us to reinvest in new works and reach more residents,” he pointed out.
He also announced that in the coming days, the work schedule will continue in the Don Jorge and La Bianca neighborhoods.
