Organized by the Secretariat of Health and the Department of Senior Citizen Policies of the Municipality of Concordia, a new vaccination day aimed at senior citizens was held.
Flu and pneumococcal vaccines were administered, with the objective of strengthening health prevention and promotion actions aimed at the city's senior citizens.
The activity was coordinated by Nursing Graduate Melina Simonetti, head of the Municipal Epidemiological Node for Immunizations, who highlighted the importance of bringing vaccination campaigns to the community. “These sessions facilitate access to vaccines and reinforce the prevention of respiratory diseases that can pose greater risks at this stage of life. Immunization remains one of the most effective tools for health care,” she noted.
For her part, the head of the Department of Senior Citizen Policies, Gladys Portugal, remarked that “supporting our senior citizens with concrete prevention and care actions is a priority. These sessions not only promote health, but also strengthen the bond with residents and guarantee access to essential services.”
Likewise, she highlighted the joint work between the different municipal areas: “The coordination between Health and Senior Citizen Policies allows us to reach more people and provide concrete responses to the needs of our senior citizens.”
Municipality of Concordia will continue to promote new vaccination days and activities related to comprehensive health care, reaffirming its commitment to a better quality of life for residents.
