This week, a new vaccination session for senior citizens was held at the Labor Training Room of the Civic Center of Concordia. The activity was carried out through a joint effort between the Secretariat of Health and the Department of Senior Citizen Policies of the Municipality of Concordia.
During the session, more than 50 people received the vaccines corresponding to their schedule, including flu, COVID-19, hepatitis B, and tetanus shots, thus strengthening preventive actions aimed at the comprehensive health care of older adults.
The activity was coordinated by Nursing Graduate Melina Simonetti, head of the Municipal Epidemiological Node for Immunizations, who highlighted: “These sessions allow us to bring the health system closer to the community, guaranteeing access to vaccination and promoting fundamental prevention habits for a better quality of life.”
For her part, Gladys Portugal, head of the Department of Senior Citizen Policies, stated: “Our goal is to permanently support senior citizens, creating spaces for care, prevention, and support. The articulated work between municipal areas allows us to reach more residents and strengthen the presence of the State with concrete actions.”
The municipality reaffirmed its commitment to continue promoting public policies for accessible and free health care, fostering the well-being and inclusion of older adults through new sessions that will be held in different parts of the city.
