In a new session of the Deliberative Council of Concordia with the presence of twelve councilors, the president of the legislative body, Lic. Magdalena Reta de Urquiza, highlighted a series of approved initiatives and submitted projects that address both local economic development and social support, as well as the recognition of prominent figures of the city.
Regularization of land ownership in the Industrial Park
One of the central points of the day was the approval of an ordinance aimed at regularizing the land ownership status of the property where a company based in the Industrial Park of Concordia is located. In this regard, Reta de Urquiza underscored the importance of this step within the comprehensive planning process being carried out in the production site:
"There is sustained work to regularize the situation of the Industrial Park. There were cases of companies settled on municipal lots without their documentation up to date, which prevented basic administrative procedures such as transfers or sales. Fortunately, with this measure, we are moving forward in providing legal certainty to the firms that are committed to the city."
Marcos Senesi, Illustrious Citizen of Concordia
Within the framework of institutional distinctions, the legislative body declared the soccer player Marcos Senesi Barón, a member of the Argentina National Soccer Team, an Illustrious Citizen.
The recognition highlights not only his sports career and his representation of the city and the country at the highest international competitive level, but also the values of effort, discipline, and perseverance that he transmits to the community. From the presidency of the Council, it was remarked that his figure represents a message of hope for local youth, demonstrating that with dedication it is possible to reach the highest sports performance.
Response to street vendors of Villa Zorraquín after the storm
Addressing the impact suffered by local workers after the adverse weather conditions of the last week, the Deliberative Council approved by unanimous vote of all blocs an exceptional and one-time exemption on the payment of fees for the street vendors of Villa Zorraquín, in the context of the San Cayetano festivities.
The measure seeks to provide direct economic relief in the face of the climate emergency suffered. As specified in the articles of the regulation, the exemption responds exclusively to this meteorological contingency, so it does not set a precedent for future editions or other street vendor events, concluded the vice-mayor.
Approved Projects and Communication Minutes
Distinction as "Illustrious Citizen" to Marcos Senesi
The Deliberative Council unanimously approved the distinction for the soccer player from Concordia Marcos Nicolás Senesi Barón, highlighting not only his successful international career but also the human values that have guided his career since its beginnings.
The author of the project, councilor Celeste Fuscado (JxER), began by highlighting that his sports training started in the institutions of Concordia, with a notable stint at Club Salto Grande, the foundation from which he built his professional projection toward national and international soccer. It is highlighted as a historic milestone for the city his call-up and participation in the youth national team processes and in the Argentina Senior National Team, reaching the point of joining the national squad in a 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The grounds presented by councilor Celeste Fuscado emphasize that the recognition is not limited to sports merit, but to his effort, humility, perseverance, responsibility, and camaraderie, making him a mirror and source of inspiration for the present and future generations of Concordia.
Support for the Community Walk for ADHD
The declaration of Municipal Interest for the Community Walk for ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) was approved. Said activity will take place on July 28 of the current year at 4:00 PM, starting its route from the Concordia Convention Center along Av. San Lorenzo, continuing along Hipólito Yrigoyen, until finishing at Mitre street, entering Plaza 25 de Mayo.
The initiative seeks to make visible, raise awareness, and inform the citizenry about this condition, promoting inclusion and support for local families, maintained Fuscado.
Municipal Interest for the Patron Saint Festivities of San Cayetano
Promoted by councilor Verónica Del Boca (JxER), the traditional Patron Saint Festival in honor of San Cayetano, which will take place between July 29 and August 7, was declared of Municipal and Socio-Cultural Interest. The resolution highlights the deep spiritual, community, and social significance that this religious festivity brings together year after year in the Concordia community.
Events of Concordia United Students (ECU)
Promoted by councilor Eliana Lagraña (JxER), all events organized by ECU during the year 2026 were declared of Municipal Interest, within the framework of the 64th edition of the Student Festival: Elections of Ambassadors, Student Expo, Fanbase Festival, Student Day Festival, Student Marathon, Float Parades.
Declaration of Interest for a historical work of the region
The initiative, presented by councilor Pablo Bovino and based on the work of Dr. Guillermo Blugerman, highlights the documentary and historical value of the publication for local and provincial memory.
In a session where consensus prevailed, the Deliberative Council of Concordia unanimously approved the Declaration of Municipal Interest for the book “Memorias sobre Santa Isabel – Una colonia de la JCA en Entre Ríos”, authored by Dr. Guillermo Blugerman. The proposal was moved in the chamber by councilor Pablo Bovino (Más para Entre Ríos bloc), who underscored the cultural impact of the work. As the councilor argued during the presentation of the project, this work rescues fundamental passages about the settlements of the Jewish Colonization Association (JCA) in the region, constituting a valuable contribution to the historical, social, and documentary heritage of both the city of Concordia and the entire province of Entre Ríos.
Road maintenance for Benito Legerén
Through a Communication Minute presented by councilor Claudia Villalba (Mas para Entre Ríos), the Deliberative Council unanimously approved requesting the Municipal Executive Department to carry out road maintenance works in a sector of Benito Legerén. The initiative, promoted in response to the complaints made by the families of the neighborhood, focuses on the intervention of Las Malvinas street towards the west, starting from its intersection with Los Alelíes street.
