The Municipality of Concordia, through the Undersecretariat of Education and in coordination with the Directorate of Ceremonial and Protocol and the Departmental Directorate of Schools, will continue the “Concordia por la Patria” program, an educational proposal that promotes the encounter of students with patriotic symbols, history, and local identity.
The activity will resume next Tuesday, March 31, at 9:00 a.m. at Plaza 25 de Mayo, an emblematic space in the city where, each week, an educational institution will be the protagonist of the flag-raising ceremony for Argentina, Entre Ríos, and Concordia.
During 2025, the program had the participation of more than 3,500 primary school students from the city, consolidating itself as a space for civic education and a meeting point between the school and the community.
The Undersecretary of Education and Culture of the Municipality, Prof. Carlos Gatto, highlighted that “Concordia por la Patria is a proposal that we have been developing with very good results, because it allows our students to live a concrete civic experience, reflecting on the history and values that identify us as a community”.
In that sense, he pointed out that “each week a school becomes the protagonist of this very significant act, where students not only participate in the raising of the flags, but also share a reflection on an anniversary and then take a tour of the city's historical heritage”.
The initiative invites 3rd-grade primary level and 3rd-year secondary level students, who will participate in the ceremony.
The Undersecretariat of Education invited the schools of Concordia that have these grades to join the proposal, noting that interested institutions can now register at the Directorate of Ceremonial and Protocol of the Municipality of Concordia.
“We believe that when students encounter patriotic symbols in a public space and share their perspective on history, the sense of belonging and civic commitment is strengthened,” concluded Gatto.
