Sunday, September 7 | 8:00 PM at Pueblo Viejo.

KATANGA. Stand-up show by Matu Venao.
Director: Luciano Díaz

Matu Venao is a Uruguayan comedian who began performing comedy in 2016 in Montevideo, and has remained active since that year, appearing in theaters, on television, and on the radio.

Since 2018, he has traveled to perform comedy in Costa Rica, Colombia, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Chile, and Argentina.

He is currently touring with his one-man show KATANGA. This show, which consists of some short songs sung and played on the ukulele, follows a sequence and covers the comedian's history to this day.

"Katanga is pure heart and few resources. Katanga is given and received. Because sometimes we give Katanga to the credit card and then it gives us Katanga when it wants to charge us. But above all! Katanga is what you are giving while you read this! Katanga is a comedy show, the dose of irresponsibility necessary to live, because you cannot hold onto the railing of life all the time. Sometimes you have to give it Katanga and keep going".
