Environment Fair
The event that brings together research, art, and culture around caring for the environment. Organized together with the NGO Luz del Ibirá.
The Eco Science Environmental Fair in Concordia emerged in 2012 at the initiative of the then-Secretary of Environment of the Municipality of Concordia and the NGO Luz del Ibirá. Bearing in mind the need to visualize the vast amount of environmental research work that could not transcend school boundaries and which had been carried out in the various educational institutions of the city and at all levels. To this instance, various attractions were added, such as institutional stands, speakers of recognized national level, cultural shows, environmental technology exhibitions, eco-cinema, talks, workshops, and other environmental activities.
Over the years, it grew to become an international-level competition since 2016; since then, groups of contingents from different international science fair associations have participated under the supervision and evaluation of professionals of recognized international level.
The International Environmental Fair aims to address the relationships that shape the environment in a multidisciplinary way, putting into tension the representations and actions of social actors with the environment through research, both school-based at all levels, Science Clubs, and public or private organizations, for the benefit of the Environment through its dissemination. Furthermore, it proposes to integrate, through an exhibition, the different theoretical, technical, and artistic visions, from a critical and responsible analysis of the actions undertaken by the anthropic factor.
