The Secretariat of Public Services of the Municipality of Concordia continues to carry out comprehensive operations in different neighborhoods of the city, with the aim of improving public spaces and responding to the demands of the residents.
During the last few days, municipal crews worked on waste collection tasks, eradication of micro-landfills, grass cutting, street cleaning, drain maintenance, and improvements in public lighting.
The Secretary of Public Services, Alejandro López, highlighted the importance of these operations: “We are carrying out comprehensive approaches neighborhood by neighborhood, with the presence of different areas simultaneously to optimize resources and provide concrete solutions. Planning allows us to reach each sector of Concordia in an orderly and sustained manner.”
In addition, López remarked that the commitment of the community is fundamental to sustain the results over time and elaborated on the role of each resident in the care of the city: “It is necessary for the resident to understand that they are a living part of the city, not just a user. The most difficult work is to awaken the conscience of the resident, to understand that the city in which we live will be the city that we build together. This will have an effect infinitely superior to any imposition, turning each resident into someone who cares for the city and the spaces in which they carry out their daily life.”
In that same line, the official pointed out that greater civic awareness will allow for the optimization of municipal resources: “By achieving this, the municipal administration will be able to reduce the resources it currently invests in cleaning work that is repeated with excessive frequency, in order to allocate them to investments that enhance public space, improving the quality of life of the entire population. In this way, each resident will be able to feel proud of the city in which they live.”
From the area, they reported that the operations will continue to be developed in different parts of the city according to the established schedule, prioritizing those sectors that require urgent intervention, without affecting the provision of services in the city, with the objective of working for a cleaner, more orderly, and safer Concordia for everyone.
