Minister of Health Daniel Blanzaco and Mayor Francisco Azcué participated in the opening of the meeting, which coincides with the VIII Nursing Students Meeting. The activity will continue until this Thursday the 13th and includes the participation of more than 1,200 professionals and students from across the province.
This edition of the Entre Ríos Nursing Congress is being held under the theme "Our nurses, our future. By caring for nurses, we strengthen the economy". Throughout the two intense days of knowledge updating, which are taking place at the Concordia Convention Center, key topics such as mental health, physical well-being, workplace safety, and quality care are being addressed.
At the opening panel, Minister Blanzaco stated: "Currently there are many alternatives for training, but these congresses allow us to maintain the human warmth of contact, to get to know each other, share experiences, and continue betting on education". He added: "I know of the daily effort and the fundamental role that nursing has in the health system. Therefore, that you take the time today to be here, to learn and share, is something I celebrate and deeply appreciate".
In his turn, Mayor Azcué noted: "It is a great honor for Concordia to host this congress and we welcome you with open arms. I want to thank and recognize all the nurses who give their best every day in a profession that demands commitment and an enormous vocation for service. From this municipal administration, which is part of the project led by Governor Rogelio Frigerio, we are investing in infrastructure, technology, and training because public health is a priority, and its human capital -our doctors, nurses, and all staff- deserves our attention and respect".
For his part, the General Director of Nursing, Martín Nani, indicated: "Seeing this room full fills all of us from Entre Ríos with pride. This congress was possible thanks to the joint work of the Mayor's Office, organizations, companies, and the nursing teams of the Masvernat and Felipe Heras hospitals and the Central Department. All of this reflects an enormous collective commitment".
"Nursing has always stood out for being by the patient's side, for offering a word or a hand when it is needed most. Today we see a nursing profession eager for knowledge, with a desire to elevate the profession and take on the challenge of continuing to be that human presence that accompanies the other", he continued during the opening.
ABOUT THE SESSIONS
In the different presentations, topics such as the evolution of the nursing role, leadership, professional training, and challenges are explored in depth, as well as the role of professional associations and educational policies to strengthen student graduation.
