This Tuesday, at the Concordia Convention Center, the Government of Entre Ríos launched the Commitment to Healthy Digital Parenting campaign, an initiative that seeks to promote family support and strengthen care guidelines in the face of the challenges posed by the use of cell phones, social networks, video games, and the internet.

The presentation was held within the framework of a new training day for #HablemosDe, the prevention and care campaign promoted by the General Council of Education (CGE). Around 700 people participated in the meeting, including students, teachers, mothers, fathers, and guardians, who addressed issues related to digital consumption and cyberbullying.
The closing of the day was led by the Minister of Government and Labor, Manuel Troncoso, who adhered to the Commitment, which proposes strengthening co-responsibility between families, schools, the State, and the community to support children and adolescents in the face of the challenges of the digital environment.
"Our children do not need adults who are experts in technology, they need present adults," noted Troncoso. In that sense, he explained: "What we are looking for with this commitment is to build common guidelines among everyone to accompany boys and girls in the use of technology, with dialogue, with limits, with care, and with adult presence. These are challenges that are not faced alone: we must build a care network together."
"Both the #HablemosDe campaign and this commitment are a political decision of Governor Rogelio Frigerio, because we understand that accompanying our children and taking care of their relationship with technology is a responsibility that we must assume as a State," the minister affirmed.

The mayor Francisco Azcué also participated in the event and signed the document. Families, institutions, and interested persons can learn about the proposal and digitally adhere to the Commitment through cge.entrerios.gov.ar/hablemosde/.
Among the guidelines proposed by the initiative is delaying the delivery of the first smartphone until the start of secondary school, postponing access to social networks, establishing screen-free times and spaces, and progressively accompanying the use of the internet and technologies. The goal is for these recommendations to become concrete care agreements within families.
In that sense, Azcué highlighted the implementation of this type of campaign that promotes "the care of young people together with families and the State in a current situation that is crossed by a digital reality that we cannot ignore."
During the day, students participated in an activity coordinated by members of the Observatory of Cybercrime and Digital Evidence in Criminal Investigations (Ocedic), while teachers, mothers, fathers, and guardians attended a talk given by the CGE's Coordination of Transversal Policies.
"Prevention and dialogue are fundamental to accompany our children and adolescents," remarked Ruth Estape, a member of the Ocedic staff, who was accompanied by Pedro Fontaneto.
For her part, the General Director of Educational Planning of the CGE, Marianela Müller, highlighted the role of families in the face of these challenges: "The school needs the support of families to address these new challenges."
Müller explained that #HablemosDe is a campaign that the CGE develops throughout the year, with spaces for dialogue and reflection on situations that disrupt the school, complicate educational trajectories, and can affect learning processes.
Officials from the CGE and the Municipality of Concordia also participated in the day, along with students, teachers, mothers, fathers, and guardians from the department.
