Mayor Alfredo Francolini and the comptroller of the Decentralized Sanitary Works Entity Jorge Mendieta defined priorities for the agency's work in the second half of 2020. Various works will begin to be executed, coordinated with the National Entity of Water Works (Enohsa).
"We presented the Mayor with a report on the work being carried out and the situation of EDOS, and we moved forward in planning the works for the second half of the year," commented Jorge Mendieta at the end of the work meeting. In this regard, the official highlighted "the coordination between the Municipality and Enohsa, which allows us to manage for the city".
The head of Sanitary Works specified that "we have a map of the city with the work that needs to be carried out in each sector to provide a better service. We have many completed projects that we are managing together with Mayor Francolini and the Enohsa administrator Enrique Cresto. These are sanitation works that will improve the quality of the service we are providing".
"There are problems we are already working on and which, in this planning we defined with the Mayor, will be carried out; in the Viñas, Llamarada, and San Juan neighborhoods, the project is already ready and submitted to Enohsa for technical review," he commented. Furthermore, he said that "we will begin in the coming days with the drilling works in the San Pantaleón neighborhood, a project that will be carried out together with Enohsa, which will benefit many residents".
Finally, Mendieta referred to the construction of the new water plant, which "is advancing at a good pace. At the beginning of the Health Emergency due to the pandemic, work stopped for fifteen days, then resumed with all the precautions of the health authorities, and in a short time the work will be finished within the foreseeable deadlines".
