The mayor of Concordia, Francisco Azcué, met this Tuesday with Governor Rogelio Frigerio to review the progress of priority works and projects in the Citrus Capital. Azcué highlighted that the collaboration between the municipality and the province is "daily" and emphasized that the joint work has allowed for the promotion of significant works for public health and local productive development.
The mayor highlighted that the bond with the governor is "excellent," defining him as his "political leader and guide." He remarked that the municipal and provincial teams are "closely linked in all areas," including human development, health, education, public works, and treasury.
INFRASTRUCTURE AND HEALTH
Azcué underscored that this close coordination has been fundamental to resume and advance high-impact projects. In this regard, he reported on important renovation works being carried out at the Felipe Heras and Masvernat hospitals, as well as the reactivation of the water treatment plant project. Furthermore, he spoke about the progress of new projects, such as the Barge port, whose completion is possible "thanks to the management of our governor."
TOURISM
Productive and tourism development was another central point of the agenda. The mayor indicated that Concordia is in the "top 10 cities with the most events in the country" and anticipated a "very nice" season. In the events agenda, he highlighted the National Citriculture Festival, the Carnival, and the Boga Festival.
He maintained that to boost this sector, the work must necessarily be joint, especially in shared jurisdictions such as La Tortuga Alegre, considered the most important fishing field in the country. Azcué emphasized that the provincial government's investment is crucial to recover "tourism jewels" such as the Ayuí hotel, the spaces at the lake, and the three thermal parks, which has a "direct" impact on the city and the entire region.
