With pure glitter and color, the Pequeños Duendes bid farewell to the 2022 edition in style at the “Atanasio Bonfiglio” Corsódromo. The great popular festival of our city not only represents a cultural expression of enormous magnitude for Concordia, but is also a symbol of inclusion and art for all the boys and girls of the neighborhoods of Concordia.
“It is good to be able to gather to enjoy different types of events, but the Los Pequeños Duendes one is particularly important, because these boys and girls are the seedbed for the main Carnival,” pointed out the mayor Alfredo Francolini and highlighted “the great joint work carried out by the Sports Secretariat with the different areas of the Municipality so that this great popular festival is a success”.
“I am very happy, I see how much this festival has grown and it fills me with pride because that is how my mother dreamed it,” stated for his part the head of Enohsa Enrique Cresto, adding that “I want to congratulate Alfredo and his entire team and all the families of Concordia who accompany and support this popular festival that is synonymous with inclusion and social support”.
In the same vein, the Chief of Cabinet and Secretary of Government Alberto Amanazqui added that “when a festival or event is internalized in the city and in the people, there is nothing that can stop it, and that is what is happening with the Los Pequeños Duendes carnival” and remarked that “once the events were authorized, work began with great effort, thanks to the drive and political decisions made by the mayor Alfredo Francolini and his team, but also the immense will of the people who are in the neighborhoods with the mobilization and organization of this great festival”.
For his part, the Secretary of Sports, Marcelo Cresto, who is in charge of the general coordination area of the Los Pequeños Duendes Carnival, stated that “the feelings are of emotion, I want to thank the people who turned this event into a moment of entertainment, of enjoyment, of being able to be with family, which is what we advocate from the Municipality".
The president of the Conased Foundation, Leticia Ponzinibbio, said that “we have been working for a long time with the Los Pequeños Duendes Carnival so that all the boys and girls of the city can experience this great children's festival, the great seedbed of the main Carnival, which instills values and much joy”. It should be noted that the event was born promoted by the Conased Foundation, and today it is a public policy of neighborhood support and inclusion.
To conclude, Sonia Albornos, Director of Neighborhood Workshops and Cultural Events of the Municipality, thanked “all the neighborhood representatives for having made the effort to present their comparsas and be part of this very important sociocultural program for our city”. Likewise, she remarked “the joint work carried out by the different areas of the municipality, so that this children's carnival would be a great success”.
More than ten thousand people gathered and filled the stands of the Corsódromo in the parade held this Sunday. Accompanying the great evening of the children's carnival were councilors Gastón Etchepare and Pablo Bovino, the general coordinator of UDAAPA Martín Armanazqui, the undersecretary and the director of Culture, Silvana de Souza Frade and Gabriel Belderrain, the coordinator of Events, Sebastián Cuberli, the coordinator of the Carnival Entity Premises María Paz Bonelli, the undersecretary of Health Diego Sauré, the former mayor Juan Carlos Cresto, and other municipal officials.
The night had begun with the show by La Camaleónica, to then give way to the parade of the comparsas that counted on the accompaniment of dancers and percussionists from the main Carnival, who paraded together with the little ones from the children's groups, as well as the presence of "Pelusa" Araya, official presenter of the Carnival of Concordia.
