The Undersecretariat of Health, under the Secretariat of Human Development of the Municipality of Concordia, informs that it has acquired rapid HIV and Syphilis tests.
These are already available at the municipal Health Centers. Likewise, starting in February, various training sessions will be held for healthcare personnel. First, the theoretical part will be addressed so that, once completed, the practical part can begin. Initially, they will be carried out in some health centers for better control and will then be extended to the other centers.
In this regard, Dr. Florencia Prieto, Undersecretary of Health, celebrated “being able to bring residents this great addition in terms of public health as a tool to quickly detect and provide a response to sexually transmitted infections and as a prevention policy focused, in turn, on the reduction of congenital syphilis cases”, she remarked.
