The Municipality of Concordia, through the Secretariat of Health and in joint work with the Delicia Concepción Masvernat Hospital, carried out the “Nursing in the Square: Prevent, Know, Care” day, within the framework of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The activity allowed for providing information and prevention tools to the community, promoting self-care and the importance of early detection.
During the day, the Nursing team of the Outpatient Clinics of the Masvernat Hospital, together with a medical professional specializing in Gynecology, shared information and guidance on health check-ups, the importance of mammography, the signs to pay attention to, and the need to consult in case of changes or symptoms that may arise.
The head of Nursing of the Outpatient Clinics of the Masvernat Hospital, Mariela Núñez, pointed out that the area “supports people who have to go through this disease all year round. Our mission is to prevent and accompany, which is why we thank the Municipality for the invitation and for carrying out the proposal.”
Through this joint initiative, the Municipality and the Masvernat Hospital strengthen the articulated work between health institutions and the community, promoting health, prevention, and access to clear and timely information.
