This morning, a meeting was held between the Municipality of Concordia and members of the Estudiantes Concordienses Unidos (ECU) commission, where it was agreed to create a joint workspace from now on to strengthen the activities that the young people carry out year after year.
During the meeting, led by the mayor Francisco Azcué, the Municipality also announced the delivery of a subsidy to allow the students to cover part of the expenses generated by the traditional party held at the Club Ferro.
An important point is that this contribution must be returned by ECU, but it should be allocated to a common fund for the students to be used by future commissions.
Furthermore, it was agreed that once the activities are finished, work will begin on administrative and legal aspects so that the student organization can obtain Legal Status.
“We want the party to grow, but in an orderly manner. It is one of the most important events we have as a city, which transcends generations and makes us stand out compared to other places,” stated the mayor Azcué, who also maintained the importance of “laying solid foundations so that the next groups of students find a paved path and legal backing.”
Throughout this year, the Municipality has provided support to the students in various activities with training in risk management, food handling, waste separation, and blacksmithing.
They were also provided with 24-hour security and medical care, inside and outside the premises of the Parque Central “Viñedos Moulins”; cleaning and logistical transport; spectator insurance, among other issues related to prevention, organization, traffic control, access regulation, and road safety.
