It is a property located in La Bianca where the organization has been carrying out important work in education and training. “From our administration, we consider education as one of the most powerful tools for transformation, which is why we support these types of actions,” remarked Mayor Francisco Azcué. “This will allow us to expand the impact of the programs, both with more children and also by extending it to parents, since they also want to learn and get ahead, for their children,” highlighted the foundation.
Mayor Azcué, on behalf of the Municipality of Concordia, signed a property loan agreement this Monday with the “Volando Alto” foundation, which will allow the NGO to continue, plan, and expand the important social, educational, and training work it has been carrying out in the La Bianca neighborhood.
The agreement is part of the Comprehensive Management Program carried out by INVyTAM, within the public policies of Urban Development, which includes the opportunity to promote access to land with services for civil society organizations that contribute to local development, among other actions.
“Volando Alto” is a Non-Governmental Organization that promotes human development in the city of Concordia, providing education and training opportunities in the most vulnerable sectors.
FORMING, EDUCATING, AND TRANSMITTING VALUES
Azcué first highlighted the role played by the aforementioned organization, “working with and supporting many children in our city with a very important contribution to the community, such as forming, teaching literacy, and transmitting values and knowledge. They need to continue growing since they are reaching more families and children every time, therefore the impact is more than positive.”
GROWTH OPPORTUNITY
For her part, Florencia Martínez stated that this first step means “a growth opportunity. Today in La Bianca we are supporting 85 children, while in Benito Legerén there are 128 children,” adding that specifically to be able to continue developing, it was necessary to have a new space.
“There is a very great need, and our motto as a foundation is that we prefer children inside the center rather than on the street. This will allow us to expand the impact of the programs, both with more children and also by extending it to parents, since they also want to learn and get ahead, for their children.”
To understand even more about the work of “Volando Alto,” Martínez indicated that “we are supporting children so they do not drop out of school and so they can be the first in their families to have a high school diploma, which will allow them to continue opening doors. I think we still haven't realized the positive impact that this agreement will generate in the neighborhood.”
Present on behalf of the Municipality were the head of the Municipal Autonomous Housing and Land Institute (INVyTAM) Giuliano Rossi, the Undersecretary of the Special Unit for Strategic Projects Lic. Leandro Garbarino, and the Undersecretary of Legal and Technical Affairs Dr. Ignacio Del Valle, while for “Volando Alto,” Florencia Martínez, Felicitas Silva, and Franco Bollini were present.
