The Municipality of Concordia informs the community that, within the framework of the 2026 Tax Ordinance (No. 38,777), a minimum fee scheme will begin to be applied for certain municipal sports services, with the objective of sustaining their operation, improving the quality of services, and ensuring transparency in the use of public resources.
The measure covers the use of the Municipal Athletes' Hostel, the Gymnasium, the Ciudad de Concordia Stadium, the Hockey Field, training sessions, classes, group activities, and the services of the Sports Clinic, as well as inspections and the occupation of public spaces at sporting events. The established values are below private sector costs and may be updated periodically according to the Consumer Price Index (CPI).
In this regard, the Undersecretary of Sports, Licentiate Ivana Pérez, noted: “We are asking for a minimum contribution, which allows us to continue offering a quality service, taking care of the facilities, and adding equipment. Everything collected goes directly back to local sports.”
And she added: “We want to bring peace of mind to families, clubs, and athletes: no one who truly needs it will be left out. There are exemptions and social evaluations to support those who require them. This measure strengthens the system, it does not limit it.”
The Municipality emphasized that the scheme includes benefits, discounts, and exemptions for retirees, people with disabilities, students, and residents in vulnerable situations, with the intervention of the Undersecretariat of Social Development, guaranteeing equitable access to activities.
Likewise, it was reported that the funds collected will be allocated exclusively to the maintenance of facilities, purchase of equipment, improvement of services, hiring of professionals, and expansion of the sports offer, reinforcing a management based on efficiency, transparency, and local reinvestment.
In parallel, the implementation process was accompanied by informative meetings with clubs, teachers, athletes, and sector representatives, prioritizing direct dialogue and the building of consensus before the system's launch.
Finally, it was announced that in the coming months, the improvements made with the resources obtained will be publicly disclosed, as part of the commitment to accountability and transparency.
